What a menu

For our last day in Croatia, we had breakfast, walked to an overlook and then went to the mall. I know what you are thinking - why a mall? I will get to that in a bit, but let's go to breakfast first.

After packing and loading the car, we made a trek back to Ciri Biri Bela for breakfast. This place is an oasis from the heat of the streets, with shaded courtyards in front and back. We sat in the shade out back as we leisurely enjoyed another great meal. It was so relaxing.

Love the food
For one last view of Split, we took a short stroll to Prva Vidilica Na Marjanu for a nice panorama of the city. From the port to the hills surrounding the city, you could see it all. Another great opportunity to add to the collection of photos and experiences from our trip.

After picking up the car, it was off to ... the mall! Why a mall? Well, when you have an hour or so to burn before heading to the airport, what better place could there be? We needed to burn through some Croation money and had a desire for a McDonald's McFlurry. I mean, we had to start readjusting to our home environment at some point.

A final view of Split
With a fuel stop, returning the car and checking our luggage, the inevitable was here as we left Ceoatia. After a quick flight to Venice, we made our way to the hotel and then off to find dinner. We walked around a bit and found a restaurant just down the road. The service was less than good, but the food had some good flavors.

We made our way back to the hotel and prepared for our last nighr of our trip. Since tomorrow will mostly consist of flying, I am going to try something a little different, so don't forget to come back tomorrow. There may even be a little prize for those that participate.

Art was everywhere Photo Album of 19 July 2019 Video Recap of 19 July 2019 Well, the time is nearly here to say goodbye to our Adriatic Adventures. However, it is time to turn the tables a bit and ask everyone to participate. This will be less scary than zip lining through the Cetina River valley or white-knuckled driving around Kotor Bay. If you are up to a challenge, read to the end of this post for instructions. If not, please enjoy the final post of our Adriatic Adventures (an Anderson/Pehler Production). Even though today was all about flights, delayed flights, rerouted flights and exploring Marco Polo International airport in Venice, there are still some things to share, so here we go. We started our day of travel by waking to learn that our flight from Venice to Atlanta was delayed a couple of hours, meaning we wouldn't make our connecting flight to Minneapolis. So what do you do when presented with an issue like that, you eat. Actually, we were alrea...

WOW! I am not even going to start with any cute sayings or introductions. Today was a great way to visit another seaside city south of Split while enjoying the natural beauty that is Omis. As we approach the end of our Adriatic Adventures, our trek today was a first for all of us. Today was all about zip lining through the Cetina River valley. We also mixed in some beach time as well as some great food and walking around Omis. The zip lining was amazing! Michelle lead our pack on the first (and longest) run and I have included video of each of us zipping along. It was, as I have overused throughout this trip, simply STUNNING! I finished things up on the first run Following our time zipping down the valley, we wandered down the road a bit to a great rock beach. The water felt so refreshing on such a sunny day. Of course, we were then in search of a light dinner. Heading back to Omis Our beach visit Looking back to Omis We strolled back into ...
